Company History

Through J.L. Tippett Construction, Jay is proud to see the family tradition of his sons following in their father’s footsteps carried on. Long ago, Jay had followed his father, Joseph L. Tippett Sr., as an employee of C&P Telephone.

Jay worked for C&P for many years, but always loved his weekend work remodeling homes. Jay started his own construction business in 1987, bringing on Joe III, and Steve as the business flourished.

“My dad taught me to take pride in my work, to take every task seriously and give it my very best effort. I’m proud to see that I could pass that on to my sons,” says Jay. “I’m proud that my dad sees us working together with the same work ethic and dedication to service that he always had.”

J.L. Tippett is dedicated to excellence in craftsmanship, quality materials, and technical accuracy. Customer satisfaction and friendly relationships with clients are the foundation of our growth.
